How to Upgrade Jailbreak iPhone 3GS to firmware 3.1 through MAC !

Connect your iPhone through pc using usb cable. Condition's before Pwning an iphone 3GS:- 1. It should be already Pwned with firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1 Download Custom firmware 3.1 for 3GS or create it using the Pwnage tool v3.1.3 Open itunes in pc and press shift + restore and locate the custom firmware 3.1. iPhone will upgrade itself to new firmware 3.1 automatically.

And now to Unlock it add the repository:repo666.ultrasn0w.com
to cydia. After that search for ultra snow in Cydia, install it and reboot it.

How to create Custom Firmware using Pwnage tool v3.1.3
 

1. Download the original firmware 3.1 for 3GS. iPhone2,1_3.1_7C144_Restore.ipsw

2. Install Pwnage tool v3.1.4 in Mac after downloading it from here.

3. RunPwnage tool and select the 3GS icon after checking the Expert Mode on the TOP.

4. After that select the firmware v3.1 for 3GS.

5. Go to General settings, check Activate the iPhone and change the Root Partition to 700mb.

6. Click on the Arrow pointing towards right and check Neuter Bootloader, unlock baseband, Auto delete BootNeuter.app

7. Click the Blue arrow button and select the Cydia and Icy packages under custom packages.

8. And now in the next step you need to select custom logos i.e. Boot logo and Recovery logo.

9. Click on blue button and select Build and then select the Bootloader file 4.6 and 3.9 after downloading it from - BL 3.9 - BL 4.6 .After that Custom Fimware will build up, save the custom firmware to some location. Save it to desktop.

10. After that RESTORE this custom firmware through Itunes as mentioned above.
