Enable Gmail Push for an Existing Google Calendar Account in iPhone


To enable mail synchronization for a Google Calendar account you've added to iPhone Calendar:


Tap Settings on the iPhone Home screen.
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the Google Calendar account under Accounts.
Make sure ON is selected for Mail.
Press the Home button.

Steps to setup exchange account for Gmail on iPhone..



Tap Settings on the iPhone Home screen.
Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap Add Account... under Accounts.
If you have already set up Google Calendar sync in iPhone Calendar, see below.
Choose Microsoft Exchange.
Enter your Gmail address ("example@gmail.com", for example) under Email.
Tap "m.google.com" (not including the quotation marks) under Domain.
Now tap your full Gmail address under Username.
Enter your Google Calendar password under Password.
Optionally, tap "Gmail" under Description.
Tap Next.
Choose Accept if the iPhone is unable to verify the "gmail.com" certificate.
Enter "m.google.com" under Server.
Tap Next again.
Make sure Mail is ON.
Turn ON Calendars if you want iPhone Calendar to sync with Google Calendar; note that iPhone Calendar can synchronize only with one calendar source, and Google Calendar will replace an existing MobileMe or, iCal or Exchange calendar.
Turn ON Contacts only if you have copied your existing contacts to Gmail. Otherwise, your existing iPhone address book will be replaced with your Gmail contacts.
Tap Done.

Setup Gmail on iPhone ! 

First step is to Backup your iPhone so that you dont loose anything.

Open the Settings application on your device's home screen.
2. Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Tap Add Account....
4. Select Microsoft Exchange.

  

Enter Account Info

5. In the Email field, enter your full Google Account email address. If you use an @googlemail.com address, you may see an "Unable to verify certificate" warning

when you proceed to the next step.
6. Leave the Domain field blank.
7. Enter your full Google Account email address as the Username.
8. Enter your Google Account password as the Password.
9. Tap Next at the top of your screen.
9a. Choose Accept if the Unable to Verify Certificate dialog appears.
10. A new Server field will appear. Enter m.google.com.
11. Press Next at the top of your screen again.

 

12. Select the Google services you want to sync.

13. Unless you want to delete all the existing Contacts and Calendars on your 

phone, select the Keep on my iPhone option when prompted. This will also 

allow you to keep syncing with your computer via iTunes.

If you want to sync only the My Contacts group, you must choose to 

Delete Existing Contacts during the Google Sync install when prompted.

If you choose to keep existing contacts, it will sync the contents of the 

"All Contacts" group instead.
