Tether iPhone with Vodafone india settings !
1. Click on the link:here and download the Vodafone_in.ipcc file. It is the configuration file for vodafone users in india.
2. This configuration file include all settings for your GPRS\EDGE.
Enable Tethering in iPhone:
- Open command prompt
- type cd “Program Files\iTunes”
- Run “iTunes.exe /setprefint carrier-testing 1″ (without the quotes)
- Start itunes
- Shift’ + Click on the ‘Check for Updates’ button , A File-Open popup should appear
- Select the File of type as iPhone Carrier Configuration Files (*.ipcc), then browse to the right directory and select above downloaded file “Vodafone_in.ipcc”
- Click open.
- You are done!
Requirement: Enable GPRS plan on your vodafone no.

Shift + Check updates does not open any popup window but only tells that I am running itunes 9.1 version. Kindly help. nirmal@sgpgi.ac.in

i have tried those steps in itunes 9.1 and itunes 9.2 and it work like a charm. You should two things first of all type the run command without quotes and the second most important thing - when you press the combination shift + updates you will get the popup box .Please change the file type below to iPhone Carrier Configuration Files (*.ipcc).The only it will change.i think you have selected iphone firmware...Please reply
I have been using airtel on my iPhone for quite some time. I have now bought a vodafone sim and want to use that. But after inserting the sim it is not getting activated. Kindly help

There is a seperate carrier file used for vodafone.
Jailbreak first only after that u will be able to use with any other carrier..
